Reacher Season 4 Trailer, Alan Ritchson Takes the Fight to New York City in Prime Video’s Deadliest Season Yet

Prime Video drops the intense first trailer for Reacher Season 4, sending Alan Ritchson’s titan to New York City for an August 12 premiere ahead of the Neagley spinoff.

Amazon has made it official: the action titan of Prime Video is making its way to the concrete jungle. In front of a high-profile crowd at San Diego Comic-Con, the streamer unveiled the first trailer for Reacher Season 4, giving audiences a hard-edged preview of Alan Ritchson’s comeback as the indomitable ex-military drifter.

The fourth installment, adapted from Lee Child’s 13th and most lauded novel, Gone Tomorrow, will have New York City as its main stage. It is set to be a season of paranoia and dense conspiracy, one that puts the towering hero in some perilous and uncharted waters.

    A Subterranean Catalyst

You can tell from the get-go that the new clip is in keeping with the franchise’s style; there is no time wasted on building tension. We are put in a subway car under the city in the middle of the night as Jack Reacher sizes up the other riders with his usual exactitude. But when an interaction with a troubled stranger turns sour and ends in a suspicious death, Reacher is promptly put in the hands of the police. He does not stay there long, making quick work of his captors to get to the bottom of things.

Along with the victim’s brother, who is adamant it was not a simple case of suicide, Reacher is led into a web of criminality that includes corrupt officials and shadowy types from the government’s upper ranks.

A Stacked Ensemble and Expanding Universe

Beyond the expected deadpan intimidation and the kind of bone-crunching action fans have come to know, the trailer makes room for the considerable new talent in tow this year. The cast has been bolstered by such names as Jay Baruchel, Agnez Mo, Kevin Corrigan, Marc Blucas, Kathleen Robertson, Sydelle Noel and Kevin Weisman. They are shown as formidable opponents and allies for a six-foot-five investigator who is not about to be cowed.

As for when to expect it, Amazon has put together a heavy-hitting schedule for late summer. The first three episodes of Reacher go live on August 12, with the rest following on a weekly basis until September 16. Then, on that same date, Prime Video will launch Neagley, the much-talked-about spin-off with Maria Sten in the lead. All eight episodes of that will be available to binge at once. Judging by what has been shown, the coming months are shaping up to be must-see for those with a taste for unrelenting action.
